Greenway or natural cleaning wood floors
Many people like natural wood floors in their homes. Wood floors give the sense heat and the truculence of the room. Wood floors are usually made from bare wood and unvarnished. But you can use a finish of your wood flooring as well. There are various options available for finishing wood floors. Finish with wax, varnish, lacquer or polyurethane is some of the common wood floor finishes. Wood floors need special care so that they last a long time while keeping the original form intact. Cleaning is not easy for wood flooring. You have to follow some tips to keep your floor free of debris and dirt. The best way to clean your wood floor is how natural or green. This will not only protect your floor, but also protect the environment from toxic chemicals and also keep your children safe from the effects of toxic cleaning products.
Required Items
- Apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- Water
- Brush or vacuum
- Soft, absorbent cloths or mops
- Natural soap (soap with olive oil)
Route
1. Regular cleaning and vacuuming is necessary to keep your wood floor clean. Place a doormat outside the door and ask people to come after cleaning their shoes on a mat door. If possible ask them to bare feet and shoes off at the door.
2. Any type of liquid or water is not good for hardwood floors. So take care not to spill liquid or water on the wood floor to prevent damage. If you get wipe any spilled liquid immediately with a soft absorbent cloth or paper towel.
3. A mixture of natural soap (soap with oil olive oil) and water is the best option for cleaning and washing raw wood floor. Always use a soft cloth to wash or clean wood floors. Avoid any kind of puddles on the surface. Apple cider vinegar and water solution is another good way to wash wood floors unfinished.
4. In case you have a finish on the floor, check what type of finish you did. It can be finished with wax or varnish, lacquer or polyurethane finished floor. If a small drop of water results in a whitish spot on the floor which means you have a wax finish. Otherwise, you can have one of the floor finish.
5. Floor finish wax can just clean it with clean water and a soft cloth. You can also apply the wax to the damaged area in tatters.
6. For soils finishing other than the wax, you can use 1 / 4 cup white vinegar mixed in a liter of water with a cloth sweet. Soak the cloth with the solution and squeeze as much as you can. Use it on the ground to clean the surface. This solution can also be used on floors unfinished wood. But you must dry it as soon as you finish cleaning.
Precautions
- To prevent scratches and damage the floor, Do not move furniture or other heavy objects on the floor. You can use any rags or towels wrapped against each leg or a corner the transition from one region to another.
