There is concern with anthesia in French and English bulldogs because of they cannot tolerate intravenous anethesia- they must be intubated. Additionally, they must never ever be given Pentathol, Metofane or Halothane.
Isoflurane is the best and safest. It is more expensive, but worth it to keep your little guys in good health. See health links below.
Neutering, despite the special considerations for these dogs, is definately worth it. They will live longer, happier and healthier lives!
