I'm needing some really cool RAT ROD interior ideas.?
1950 Pontiac Chieftain. It's already flat black, red rims and white walls. Now, we are needing some cool ideas for the interior. It doesn't have a headliner, door panels or flooring. We have thought about using old license plates for the floor and maybe even the door panels. Any ideas would be very helpful for the headliner and anything else you can think of that's cool. Oh, it also has a KEG in the trunk for the gas tank and the battery is just there ....sticking out like a sore thumb. Any items on something to cover up the battery. I thought about an old wood beer crate. THANKS, FOR THE HELP!!
As boring as it sounds ether street signs or sheet metal to cover the doors and then maybe make pull handles out of like the old winged hood ornaments or something like that and maybe go with a pull rope (cable) with a T handle like an old school way of cutting down on weight you know? or maybe make a door handle out off a piston rod or a cam shaft I would go with the cam shaft because every one does the piston rod door handles (polished) but with a cam shaft the only real use for it in the past has been a shifter. Or you could glue old records or there covers to ether sheet-metal or plexi glass and that would be pretty trick with records and plexi glass than you could still see the inside of the door plus sheets of Plexiglases are pretty cheap and records are like $1 a piece at any pawn shop or sometimes like 10 cents a piece at yard sales. Its your baby your dream make it yours anything can be built its if you can think it and have the heart to follow through good luck.
