Crab legs and clarified butter bliss.....?
Does anyone besides my husband, my sister and I go into an almost trance-like state when faced with a huge plate of steaming crab legs and warm butter? All talking ceases and we become hypnotized. We only look up to carefully grab our wine glasses with buttery fingers...Sigh. I'm hungry Btw, I can down 2 lbs of snow crab legs. 
Here in Maryland and surrounding areas you'll see that trance over a huge pile of steamed Blue crabs-- not for any other kind. There's no comparison to Blues from the Chesapeake Bay. Perhaps more work for less meat, but ounce for ounce, NOTHING tastes like or is textured like it. It's the filet mignon of crabs.
So, I'm afraid we're spoiled by the best. With that said, I do enjoy snow or king crab legs as part of a clam bake along with clams, oysters and corn on the cob.
