What is a baker's rack mostly used for?
Does it really get used for baking? Or is it just decorative furniture?
Originally, kitchens were mostly freestanding appliances without the cupboards and counters we're used to today. Usually, they only had a table to use for their mixing, cooking, etc. People used bakers racks to hold their baked goods while they were cooling.
