Ama Dablam Expedition (30 days)
List of our expeditions in Nepal and Tibet
An expedition is technically demanding Amadablam and any ice, rock, scrambling, killer views, great approach and camp Based in a large meadow with a stream. The expedition offers superb climbing techniques in the heart of the Khumbu region just above the monastery Thayanboche on the way to Everest Base Camp. From the top of the six highest peaks in the world are clearly seen five highest peaks Mt Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse Shar, Mt Makalu, Mt. Cho - Oyu, and Mt. Everest, and also get up close Nuptse, and Pumari Baruntse. Since his ascent in 1961 by an Anglo American / New Zealand team, he was frequently mounted and by different routes.
Our ascent will be made through the SW ridge classic involves climbing pure. The final section involves the top ice climbing followed by a long steep snow slope. Due to the technical nature of the road, which requires 3500 meters of fixed rope and three camps above base camp. Normally, the ascent is completed in less than four weeks. However, we do build in a few days additional unexpected bad weather.

> Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1520 m.)
After arrival, we will be respected and taken to our hotel. Kathmandu is a strange mixture of Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism and Western influence. There are many great attractions and tours can be arranged with a guide who accompanies you (optional) or perhaps you can explore around on your own.
DAY 02 KATHMANDU
At leisure in Kathmandu. While the guides sort of shipping papers, you will be able to explore this fascinating medieval city, the crowded bazaars, temples and Hindu and Buddhist shrines. It is a wonderful blend of an old colonial and modern architecture.
DAY 03 KATHMANDU
Free day in Kathmandu .. This day in Kathmandu is an opportunity to hire all the pieces of mountaineering equipment, you do not already have.
FLIGHT DAY 04 Lukla at 2800m and trek to Phakding
The 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is one of the most spectacular flights in the world. The sixteen foundations Twin Otter takes us east into the heart of Sherpa country, giving us stunning views of the mountain peaks of the Khumbu region, including Mt. Everest Ama Dablam attractive. The plane landing on the tiny airstrip at Lukla to put into words is simple - it will be wildly exciting - get shivers down my spine!
Not soon after landing, we will be setting off along the famous hiking trail to the northwest and down beside the river at 2652 m. Phakding Continuing further into the pine forests and Chumda attractive to set up our camp for the night (About 5 hours walk).
DAY 05 Trek to Namche Bazaar.
After breakfast, we start climbing the steep hill to Namche Bazar. If the sky is clear we can see the glorious Mt. Everest the highest mountain in the world and the next Lhotse. We will reach to Namche after about six hours. It is a prosperous economy and the largest city in the Khumbu region inhabited by the Sherpas that looks at all with the Tibetan people in looks and also the same cultures. The city is bustling with many well-stocked shops, typical restaurants and hotels, everything seems a whole beautiful with stunning views of nearby snow-capped mountains all around. Some of us can probably deal in the small breathing problem Namche is 3445 meters above sea level. Therefore, we will spend two nights for acclimatization.
REST DAY 06 Namche Bazar.
DAY 07 Trek to 3863 m. Thyangboche
As soon as it is morning, we have fantastic views of Mt. Ama Dablam and mountain ranges while others around us. We continue the hike to the northeast on the side of the Dudh Koshi. The trail descends through the foam and rhododendron forests of the leading bank of the river further down the side of the river Phungithanga. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River on a bridge here, the trail lead up a hill at the top saddle Thyangboche. Thyangboche is the main important monastery in the Khumbu region. Old (the first original one) Thyangboche monastery was destroyed by an accidental fire in 1989. The main village lies at the foot of Mt. Kangtaiga and the spur of the ridge of the summit that we can have an excellent panoramic view of the main mountain peaks, including - Mt Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We settle for the night camping near the monastery. (On involves 6 hours).
DAY 08 Trek to base camp.
Trekking for about 2-3 hours up the valley heading to the base camp of Everest, our paths ahead turn right and then up again the next valley and our base camp at an altitude of 4570 meters. We camped along the great place where most of the climbing routes are visible. The natural atmosphere is pleasant in the cool serenity. Holders will be occupied, then, with charges for the next two weeks time. The remaining staff at base camp include - a cook, Sirdar, other employees, and the liaison officer.
DAY 9 to 24 ascent of Mont. Ama Dablam.
We understand and be flexible with time, because it would not be possible to stick to our days day exactly the route during the ascent period, due to unpredictable weather in the mountains. On the whole The group will work on the mountains. The core team will be divided into groups - the group climbing and the task group. Groups - while the group "A" is the study of ropes and fixing route "B" of the other group will be carrying loads required for higher camps. Description the route is as such, the expedition team (led by Ray Delaney) that reduced Mt Ama Dablam in the year 1990 ...
Base Camp --- the road passes through the grassy ridge heading east to a saddle off. From this point we can see the Mingbo (high pass). We now have to head to the North climb the rocky terrain and through the rocks to a ridge, a site for Camp I at an altitude of 5705 meters. Here, there are natural platforms 5-6 may be pitched tents.
Camp I --- Cross a rocky bowl (tricky if snow) up that, under an inch of rock, then move on to the ridge proper. Climbing involves climbing the peak of the standard hard on the steps of ESR (USA 5.6) Camp II is at the top of a yellow tower, which provides one of the most challenging locations on the rise in VS / VS drive (5.8).
Camp II --- Skirt red rock bluff on the east and follow a line of a ramp to turn gray. Move to the ramp (some rockfall danger) and climb to an amphitheater. Continue to a large ravine formed between the gray tower and the lower rock buttress and climb a slope Snow "Santa Grotto" at the beginning of the peak of mushrooms. Follow the ridge for a mushroom crevice in the upper face, which offers a fantastic the site.
